Jonathan Kaye
Prior to founding North River Investment Company, I spent nearly twenty years in commercial real estate finance both nationally and internationally.
After earning my MBA at Duke University, I worked in commercial real estate banking before joining Lehman Brothers as one of the first members of its new origination, commercial mortgage backed securities business.
In 1996, I co-founded GMAC Commercial Mortgage’s structured finance and commercial mortgage backed securities business which I co-ran for ten years, and where I was responsible for over $30 Billion of U.S. and European loan originations, over $4.5 Billion of assets under management, and numerous securitizations. In addition, I ran the $750MM financing for the acquisition of New York City’s World Trade Center, started GMAC’s London-based, European lending business, and served on the firm’s executive committee.
I have served on a number of high school and college steering committees, and I was one of the founding members of the New York City Chapter of Young Presidents’ Organization.
